In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Those who take heed for themselves and fear God, will be amidst shade and springs of water, 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
