Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
