Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
