In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Verily, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people (Saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful torment." 1 He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain warner to you: 2 that you should worship God [alone] and be conscious of Him. Pay heed to me. 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day: 5 but my call has only caused them to flee farther and farther away [from Thee]. 6 Each time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and wrapped themselves in their garments, and persisted becoming very proud. 7 Then I called them loudly and more openly, 8 "Then verily, I proclaimed to them in public, and I have appealed to them in private, 9 I said to them: “Ask forgiveness from your Lord; surely He is Most Forgiving. 10 He will send you abundant rain from the sky, 11 And help you with wealth and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers. 12 What is the matter with you, [that you fear not Allah (His punishment), and] you hope not for reward (from Allah or you believe not in His Oneness). 13 While He has created you in (different) stages [i.e. first Nutfah, then 'Alaqah and then Mudghah, see (VV. 23:13, 14) the Quran]. 14 See you not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another, 15 And hath placed the moon therein for a light, and hath made the sun a lamp? 16 "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually), 17 how He will then return you to it and bring you forth again, 18 how God has spread the earth out for you 19 so that you might walk thereon on spacious paths.'" 20

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
