Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
