Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
