Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
