Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
