Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
