Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
