Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
