And a sign for them is the dead earth; We gave it life and We produced from it grain, so they eat from it. 33 And We place therein gardens of the date-palms and vines; and We therein cause to gush forth springs. 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind and of what they do not know. 36 And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 Another Sign for them is that We carried all their offspring in the laden vessel 41 And We have created for them the like of it in which they board. 42 and if We will, We drown them, then none have they to cry to, neither are they delivered, 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
