Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is it timed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
