Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
