"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 [having been received with the greeting,] "Enter here in peace, secure!" 46 And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity). 47 There shall touch them no toil therein, nor therefrom they shall ever be driven out. 48 ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, 49 At the same time, My chastisement is highly painful. 50 And declare thou unto them of Ibrahim's guests. 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 They said: be not afraid; verily we bear thou the glad tidings of a boy knowing. 53 Abraham said: "What, do you give me this tiding though old age has smitten me? Just consider what tiding do you give me!" 54 They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones." 55 He said, "Who but the misguided despair of the mercy of their Lord?" 56 He said: What is your business then, O apostles? 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. 60
