Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
