Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
