Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
