Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
