Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
