Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
