Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
