Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
