Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
