Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
