Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
