Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
