Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
