Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
