Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
