Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
