Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
