Believers, fear God as is His due, and when death comes, be in a state of complete submission to Him. 102 Hold fast to the cord of God and let nothing divide you. Remember the blessings He has bestowed upon you; you were enemies and then He united your hearts and by His grace you became brothers; you were on the brink of an abyss of Fire and He rescued you from it. Thus God makes His signs clear to you, so that you may find guidance. 103 So let there be a body among you who may call to the good, enjoin what is esteemed and forbid what is odious. They are those who will be successful. 104 Be not as those who scattered and fell into variance after the clear signs came to them; those there awaits a mighty chastisement, 105 On the day when some faces will become white and others black, God will ask the people with the faces which have become black, "Why did you give up your faith? Now suffer the torment for your disbelief". 106 And those whose faces have turned bright, they will be in the mercy of Allah, and therein they shall abide. 107 These are God's messages: We convey them unto thee, setting forth the truth, since God wills no wrong to His creation. 108 To God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth and to Him do all things return. 109
