And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 The sun is running its course to its appointed place. That is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 how We ordained the moon to pass through certain phases until it seems eventually to be like a bent twig; 39 It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 except through Our Mercy and as enjoyment for awhile. 44 And when it is said unto them: fear that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy, they withdraw. 45 And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 then they will not be able to make any testament, nor will they return to their people. 50
