The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
