The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
