The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
