The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the second followeth it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 [If so,] then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
