The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
