The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)

CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and gently take it away; 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
