The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and gently take it away; 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
