The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
