The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
