The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
