The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
