Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the close of night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
