The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
