The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
