The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and he belied the finest 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Almighty God's Truth.
