Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 where then are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
