The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
